When we speak of personal growth using only the mind, we speak of archetypes, but when we do it including the body we speak of metaphors.
Body awareness and memory
There are more and more opinions and studies [1] in favor of accepting the fact that there is a part of your memory which exists engraved in your body, that lives from its action and determines in you a behavioral disposition and a mood that becomes a part of who you are. Body awareness means accepting this as an essential part of you.
The memory of your body
As a person you live things that become part of the past. But is your body involved in keeping that memory? Mark Rowland –philosopher–, says it does, and also that once a situation occurs it remains recorded and stored in your body, becoming part of you.
The awareness of your body
The experience with people who have suffered brain injuries suggests that “our memory lives in the action of the whole body and that it arises from a behavioral disposition and a lasting state of mind which become a way of being”, which gives the feeling of existing as an individual to a person.
Better smeller
There are three things that condition our olfactory ability: having inherited a suitable biology, living in a suitable environment or having the appropriate experiences and, although we won’t be able to control all of them, some we will, and those are good news.
High quality energy
